Introducing the SASH Senior Home Sale Blog

by The SASH Program July 11 2011

Welcome to the first post of our SASH Senior Home Sale Blog! The SASH Program is a unique service that purchases homes from seniors in a private, custom-designed transaction that is  structured around the specific needs of each of our clients. With SASH, the home sale transaction is a streamlined, stress-free process that allows senior clients to sell their homes without undergoing expensive repairs, putting their house on the regular market, or packing and moving their household goods. When you sell your home to SASH - all aspects of the home sale process are taken care of for you.

Why are we writing this blog? The home sale process is an extremely complicated and stressful one, fraught with uncertainties for sellers of all ages. These challenges can have special implications for senior clients who may have health issues, or a lack of a family support structure in the area. Since 2006 we have helped hundreds of seniors successfully sell their homes. We have compiled a vast vault of valuable information related to the senior home sale process, and want to impart that knowledge with the hope that becoming more educated will help seniors to have an ultimately successful outcome with their home sale.

Over the course of the life of this blog, we will be discussing all types of issues relating to seniors, and more specifically the home sale process. We will be identifying options available to seniors for retirement living, financial considerations and benefits available, potential challenges in the process, successful stories from past clients, as well as many other topics with tips, advice, and valuable information to help you make the best and most informed decisions for your particular situation. Our blog is not designed as a marketing vehicle, but a place where information can be freely exchanged.

We welcome any comments or feedback, and encourage you to leave a comment in the comment box below the blog post. Simply click on the Comment link and the comment sections will open. Whether you agree with us or not, or simply have more to add to the conversation, we genuinely want to hear from you. We look forward to interacting with you - so with that let the discussions begin!

SASH was founded in 2005 by Rebecca Bomann. Rebecca Bomann saw the need for a private home sale service for seniors when she helped her own grandfather sell his home. Rebecca Bomann believes that seniors deserve an easy home sale service that can assist them through the process, eliminating the terrible stress, work, deadlines, and waiting that her grandfather endured. This is the mission of The SASH Program. SASH stands for Sell A Senior’s Home, or Selling Advantage for Senior Homeowners. The SASH Program is a respected member of the elder-care community, offering an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau, as well as many testimonials from clients and their families. Rebecca Bomann began her care of seniors at the age of 12, working in the home of a bedridden elderly woman to prepare meals and do housekeeping for her. Rebecca Bomann continued her care for seniors as director of a small non-profit that served needy families. In addition, Rebecca Bomann has served battered women, homeless families, rape victims, recovering addicts, and teen moms in her years of social work. Rebecca also spent a year in South America working and researching in poor ghettos. Subsequent to her work as a social worker, Rebecca Bomann entered the real estate arena as an investor. This blend of social work and real estate is the foundation of SASH. The SASH Program is designed with the heart of caring and service to those in difficult situations, with the specialized knowledge of real estate and seniors. Thank you for your interest in SASH! We look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
