Consistent with our code of ethics, it is important to our Team at Selling Advantage for Senior Homeowners® that we are open and honest about our position as the buyer of a senior’s home. We strive to carry out all transactions legally and ethically; nevertheless, it is important for each senior and all concerned family members or caregivers to understand the following:
  1. We are a for-profit business, such as many other businesses which serve seniors (elder attorneys, consultants, home health aides, cleaning services, etc.) We will realize a future profit in our transaction with you as the buyer of your home.

  2. As the buyer of your home, we do not legally represent you in this real estate transaction. Though we may provide guidance through the steps of the home sale, we are not your legal or financial counselors.

  3. If we offer to purchase your home, we will offer a lower price than what you would sell the home for as a listed property on the real estate market. Our price is lower to reflect the service we are providing as a low-hassle, private, secure way to sell your home.

  4. We will not engage in disputes over your property with your family members or caregivers on your behalf. If your family has a reasonable objection to the sale of your home to us, we will not carry through with the transaction until all parties have come to a fair and written agreement.

  5. Our desire is to carry out fair and ethical business practices within the community. If our purchase of a senior's home will benefit the senior but violate our Code of Ethics, we will not carry through with the transaction until a fair and ethical agreement is reached.
